Saizenji Temple in Saitama is the eighth temple on the Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage.
This temple has a long history. having been founded in 1234 by traveling monk. The main deity enshrined here is the eleven-faced Kanzeon bosatsu. On the temple grounds, there is a 600-year-old maple tree which is a designated natural monument.
How much is entry to Saizenji Temple?
Entry to Saizenji Temple is normally free. However, during the autumn season, when people come to pay their respects to the majestic maple, there is an admission fee of ¥100.
