Japan’s most prestigious university of the arts, located in Ueno Park. The university is commonly known as “Geidai” – a shortened form of the full Japanese name Tokyo Geijitsu Daigaku.
A highlight of the fall festival season is the Geisai—the annual student festival. Students create large floats and there is live music culminating in a raucous all-hands samba jam.
