Housed in the historic waterfront Yokohama Customs Building, the Yokohama Customs Museum traces the history of customs in Japan — from the opening of Yokohama port in the 1870s to the present.

Although English descriptions are a little sparse, there are some fun interactive displays – such as poking around in a box with a camera on a stick to find the contraband within, or using the metal detecting wands on sample luggage.
