Angela Schnabel

Originally from Arkansas, Angela relocated to Tokyo in late 2013 thanks to her husband's military career. It only took a few weeks for her to begin creating her master plan so that they can stay forever.

But, just in case that doesn't work out she makes an effort for her family to experience as much of Tokyo as possible- as cheaply as possible. Farmer's markets, 100¥ sushi-go-rounds, big annual sales, and recycle stores are just a few of her tools for living on the cheap.

By day she is a writer and researcher. In her free time she enjoys learning to cook Japanese meals at home, researching interesting local things to do, and scouring second hand stores for crazy good deals on anime goods, cosplay props, kimono, and kawaii fashion.
