Roger Shitaki

Roger is an intrepid adventurer and life chancer. He has often landed up in ‘penniless’ situations relying on luck, good instincts, and thoughtful estimations. Originally from South Africa, he lived skint in London before saving money to seek his fortunes in Japan. Cheap living has often been a necessity, but for Roger it’s also a great way to afford more frequent travel. His love is the Japanese countryside for its cheap rent and rustic fresh air. He enjoys Japan’s hiking trails, and pilgrimage routes such as Shikoku 88.
