One of the bigger flea markets in the city, this is one of the few markets not always held on a weekend. There will be around 800 stalls to visit, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time and bring your haggling a-game. There will be organic veg, handicrafts, second-hand clothes bordering on vintage, antiques and toys. It offers a nice mix of professional stalls and more informal ones so you can hunt out a bargain and find something unusual.
There is a 300 yen entry fee for shoppers, and if you’re keen to get the best items you can stump-up the 1,000 yen early bird entry fee and join the dealers.
The event is organised by the Citizen’s Recycling Campaign group who promote a lot of market events, so get into the spirit and focus on the re-using part of the famous 3-rs mantra.
The event is held once a month – the schedule can be navigated using a translation tool, just look for the flea-market photo in the list.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.- 0.6 km from Tobitakyū Station Keiō Line (KO20)
