One of the larger flea markets in Tokyo, this one lives up to its name with around 800 (!) stalls. You can find everything here, including, possibly, a kitchen sink. There are organic vegetables, crafts, secondhand clothes, toys, antiques and much more. It’s in Chofu, which is a little way out of Tokyo central, but can be made into a day trip.
There’s a small entrance fee of approximately ¥300, but even if you buy just one item, we reckon it’s worth it. If you want to beat the crowds, you can pay a higher fee (around ¥1,000) to get in at 8am, two hours before the official opening time.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.Add to Calendar
