Clothing Swap – Homage x Ekolokal – Vol. 02

2:00pm – 6:00pm
¥500

The textile industry is one of the largest polluters in the world. One way to tackle these environmental issues is by extending the life of our clothes through participating in swapping events. Save the world and save some money.

This event is a collaboration between the groups Homage Tokyo and Ekolokal, who both have the mission to tackle environmental issues and reduce unnecessary waste.

How does it work?

You don’t need to have clothes to swap — you can just turn up at 4 p.m. and grab what’s available.

But if you do have clothes to give, please arrive before the event starts (between 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.) to drop-off your unwanted items.

Items left after 6 p.m. will be donated to the charity Furugi de Vaccine (古着deワクチン).

What clothes can I swap?

Bring clean and undamaged clothes with no rips or stains. You can also bring hats, scarves, shoes, and accessories, as well as household items. But don’t bring your whole house — there’s a maximum of 10 items.

Do not bring electrical items, underwear, swimwear, sheets, and large furniture. There are more details on the event listing.

Tickets

It will cost ¥500 to participate in the swap — whether you are there to exchange or just load up on some clothes. There is also a special combo ticket for ¥1,200 that includes a drink and a muffin. You can get tickets via the link below or just turn up on the day.

Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
