Fuji Rock 2017

28th Jul–30th Jul, 2017

Fuji Rock is the biggest music festival in the country, with between 100,000 and 150,000 people attending every year. Held in a stunning ski resort just outside Tokyo, it has been running since 1997 and the international crowd has been steadily increasing over the years. Held mostly outdoors (with ony one indoor stage) you must be well prepared for rain and shine, as you never know which way it will go. Maintaining its Japanese roots there are onsen you can soak away in and nature walks, with a bit of a Glastonbury vibe (secret woodland gig anyone?) so go explore!

This years acts include Lorde, Queens of the Stone Age, Major Lazer, Bjork, The XX and Aphex Twin! You can also see Catfish and the Bottlemen, Rag’n’Bone Man, The Amazons and Sampha.

Tickets are available with bigger discounts the earlier you purchase as well as an option of a two-day-ticket which is cheaper than buying two separate day tickets (although they must be consecutive days). Advance tickets are available from the 8th of April costing 18,000 for one day, 34,000 for two days and 39,800 for three days. These prices will rise to 19,000, 36,000 and 43,000 on the third release date which starts on the 3rd of June. Tickets can be purchased from overseas here and you can buy them from Japan here.
