One of Asia’s largest gin festivals makes a triumphant return after five years.
What to expect
Held for the first time in five years, the 2024 event is sure to be a celebration. 80 companies from Japan and abroad will display more than 100 brands and 250 varieties of gin. When you do the math, this makes it one of the largest gin festivals in Asia.
In addition to the requisite tastings (gin and tonics, anyone?), you can purchase bottles directly from the distributors and exhibitors will hold seminars to educate while you partake in the offerings. There will also be a craft bar presented by the Japan Gin Association, serving up historical gin cocktails.
Schedule 2024
The festival will run for two days: Saturday, October 19, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, October 20, 11 a.m to 6 p.m.
Tickets
Admission to the festival is free, but tastings, gin and tonics and the craft bar mentioned above will operate on a ticket system, as follows:
- Initial tickets: ¥2,200, which gets you five tasting tickets, 1 gin and tonic and a seminar venue admission pass.
- You can purchase more tasting tickets in bundles of 10 for ¥1,100, or purchase a ticket for a gin and tonic for ¥770.
- The craft bar offers classic cocktails for five tickets per cocktail.
Please note that this event accepts cashless payment methods only.
