With more than 300 exhibitors and over 100,000 visitors, IREX claims to be the largest robot trade show in the world.
The theme of this year’s event is “The way towards a friendlier society, bridged by robots” — which, as with past slogans, we suspect was created by a slogan-making AI based on every other Japanese trade show slogan ever.
The expo will be divided into two broad categories — the industrial robot zone and the service robot zone. Industrial robots are your typical welding and riveting arms while service robots include personal robots, space robots, agriculture robots, and cleaning robots. We’re not sure which category the giant fighting robots will be in.
The door price is ¥1,000, but if you pre-register, you can get in for free.
