Officially the “Kappabashi Dōgu Matsuri” (Kappabashi Tool Festival), this festival is a showcase of Tokyo’s premiere neighborhood for both amateur and professional kitchen supplies – from knives, to porcelain to realistic plastic food models.
Although the “Kappa ichi” (Kappa market) part of the festival officially runs for a week, most of the festivities—such as a sweets festival, parades, a stamp rally and more, take place on the final Sunday and Monday (which is a public holiday).
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, many events have been canceled. Always check official sites before heading to an event.Tokyo's Best Events and Cultural Activities in Your Inbox Every Week
