Until recently, the country of Myanmar was an international pariah held in not much better regard than North Korea. With democratic elections and an opening up of the country, they now join almost every other Asian country in holding their own festival in Tokyo.
The location is not what you’d expect though—it’s at Zojoji Temple next to Shiba Park and Tokyo Tower. The festival will feature Myanmar Yokocho (serving Myanmarese food), Myanmar Market and a live music and performance stage.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
