This is a traditional summer shrine festival that takes place at Nogi Shrine — one of the most serene shrines in central Tokyo.
What happens?
Expect all the summer festival standards — yatai (food trucks), entertainment, and lots of yukata-clad locals.
Food options include yakitori, yakisoba, shaved ice, fried chicken, fries, cotton candy, candy apples. As far as beverages go, there will be a beer, soft drinks and a sake-tasting contest, too.
