The Oedo Antique Market

9:00am – 4:00pm
Free

If antique shopping is your thing, then ‘the largest outdoor antique market in Japan’ is for you. It’s a regular event held on the first and third Sunday of each month. And yes, it really is big.

This is a great place to pick up ¥1,000 yukata, kimono and jimbei, as well as the accessories that go with them, like belts, ties and bags. You’ll also find ornaments aplenty, tea ceremony bowls and equipment, watches and various other knick-knacks.

The Oedo Antique Market takes place at the Tokyo International Forum, which is right next to Yurakucho Station on the JR Yamanote line. There are coffee shops nearby, if you need a caffeine fix.

Note that the market will be cancelled if it rains.

Pro tip: There is also a monthly sister event in Yoyogi Park.
