If antique shopping is your thing, then “the largest outdoor antique market in Japan” is for you. It’s a regular event held on the first and third Sunday of each month. And yes, it really is big.
What happens?
This is a great place to pick up ¥1,000 yukata, kimono, and jimbei, as well as the accessories that go with them, like belts, ties, and bags. You’ll also find ornaments aplenty, tea ceremony bowls and equipment, watches, and various other knick-knacks.
How to get there
The Oedo Antique Market takes place at the Tokyo International Forum, which is right next to Yurakuchō Station on the JR Yamanote Line. There are coffee shops nearby, if you need a caffeine fix.
Note that the market will be canceled if it rains.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
