The first ever Taiwan Festa was originally slated to take place back in 2011, but following the tragic events of 3/11, it was put on hold—as were many other events that year.
Five years later and the Taiwan Festa is finally ready to make its big debut in Yoyogi Park. It’s an all encompassing festival with focus on “tourism, industry, entertainment, culture, and gastronomy”. We’re thinking the superstar of the event will be the gastronomy portion with an array of food stalls mimicking a Taiwanese night market—which is an excellent way to spend a warm, Tokyo summertime evening.
The festival aims to maintain strong a relationship between Japan and Taiwan, as well as to increase tourism, notably through a real-life experience of Taiwanese culture—something that can’t be experienced via the internet.
More information on booth and event specifics to be released as the festival approaches. Stay tuned!
