The New Year Ceremony for the Tokyo Fire Department (also known as Dezome-shiki) is filled with emergency vehicles and performances that highlight the triumphs of the Tokyo Fire Department.

Important note: All seats for the outdoor performances are reserved and must be applied for between October 17 and November 10. If you miss out, you can find some smaller shows inside Tokyo Big Sight East Exhibition Building East Halls 7 and 8.

What happens?

In the outdoor parking lot of the Tokyo Big Sight East Building, there will be fire engine processions, firefighting performances (including real flames), a marching band, wood-carrying, ladder-riding, and more.
