The New Year Ceremony for the Tokyo Fire Department (also known as Dezome-shiki) is filled with emergency vehicles and performances that highlight the triumphs of the Tokyo Fire Department.
Important note: All seats for the outdoor performances are reserved and must be applied for between October 22 and November 13. If you miss out, you can find some smaller shows inside Tokyo Big Sight East Exhibition Building East Halls 7 and 8.
What happens?
In the outdoor parking lot of the Tokyo Big Sight East Building, there will be fire engine processions, firefighting performances (including real flames), a marching band, wood-carrying, ladder-riding, and more.
If you can’t get tickets to the outdoor performances, there will also be smaller displays and shows inside Tokyo Big Sight.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.Add to Calendar
