Toneri Park Nemophila Illumination

Free

Broaden your floral horizons and go beyond cherry blossoms. Spring unfolds in shades of blue at Toneri Park.

What happens?

Delicate nemophila (baby blue eyes) flowers stretch out in every direction at Toneri Park.

Known for being brilliantly blue, nemophila are also associated with calm and tranquility. The endless waves of these tiny flowers create a sense of serenity that’s hard to match.

As evening falls, wander through the park and take in the creative light displays, artfully designed to highlight the ethereal quality of baby blue eyes.

Visitors can also enjoy themed snacks and drinks from local vendors. Look forward to the limited-edition Toneri blue ice cream.

Pro tip: If you don’t mind a bit of a trek, check out Flowering at Hitachi Seaside Park for more nemophila than you’ll ever find in Tokyo.

Schedule 2025

The event goes from April 11 to April 29. The blooms will be illuminated from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday. From Friday to Sunday and on public holidays, the illuminations will be extended by a half hour, ending at 8:30 p.m.

We recommend checking the flower situation online before heading out.
