Previously held in Osaka, the landmark exhibition is arriving in Tokyo.
What to expect
Van Gogh’s Home: The Painter’s Legacy, the Family Collection, the Ongoing Story brings traces of how the iconic artist’s works passed through the hands of those who loved him most.
This exhibition, first opening in Osaka, focuses on the Van Gogh family collection, illuminating the devotion of Theo, Jo, and Vincent Willem van Gogh in safeguarding and shaping Vincent’s legacy. Rarely seen letters, original canvases, and archival materials will be on display.
Pro tip: Head to the Pola Museum of Art for another Vincent van Gogh exhibition examining the artist’s enduring impact — the first in the museum’s history.
