Head away from Tokyo to see in the new year. The Yokohama New Year’s Eve celebrations are a mix of lights and fireworks to end the year on a high.

Yokohama Night Flowers
The fireworks display in Yokohama, which happens sporadically throughout the year. Fireworks will be set off from Osanbashi Pier and Shinko Pier from 7 to 7:05 p.m.
Chinatown Countdown
Two spots in Yokohama’s Chinatown will also be hosting countdowns at Kuan Ti Miao Temple and Mazu Temple. Prepare for all the fixings of a Chinese festival, including lanterns and lion dances.
