Things heat up inside Tokyo Dome as the Yomiuri Giants are up to bat on their home turf.
What happens?
Baseball games in Japan are an experience in themselves, no matter who you’re watching. Choreographed cheers and hand movements make the stadium buzz. Sumo may be the national sport, but baseball is the most played and followed sport in the country.
The Yomiuri Giants are one of two baseball teams based in Tokyo (the other being the Yakult Swallows). They are the most successful team in Japan and have a strong rivalry with the Kansai team Hanshin Tigers.
Tickets
As you can imagine, Yomiuri Giants tickets are often sold out on match day, but you can head to Tokyo Dome or the official site to see if they have any left. Tickets range from ¥1,500 for standing to ¥14,500 for front-row seats.
Tickets for the 2025 season are currently not on sale, but you can book ahead with Klook, which includes a guide for around ¥25,000.
