Here are our favorite spots for late-night desserts around Tokyo -- recommended for Valentine's Day, or any other occasion. 1. Made with traditional gelato and fruit toppings, Yelo's menu has something for everyone. And if you're not done drinking, there's an option to add a cheeky swig of Vitamin B(ooze). Their menu is split into day and night options, but desserts are available at all times. Reservations are recommeneded for busy evenings, and you can do so on their website. EMME Wine Bar is a 15-minute walk from JR Shibuya Station. 4. Parfaiteria Bel Parfaits Opens at 5 p.m. Mon-Fri, and 3 p.m. Sat-Sun. Parfaiteria Bel, however, is here to show those people how wrong they are. This cozy cafe makes a point of not compromising on the beauty or taste of their creations. They use high-quality gelato, chocolate, and fresh fruit to deliver eye-catching, sophisticated parfaits. From their Swan Lake white chocolate and strawberry number, to their rose jelly and pistachio tower, every handmade parfait exudes elegance. Parfaiteria Bel is a 2-minute hop from JR Shibuya Station. A fast-growing business, they've also opened branches in Shinjuku and Ikebukuro, with a Shimbashi store in the works. Opening times vary by branch, but the Shibuya one is open until 12:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 11:30 p.m. all other days. You can reserve in advance by phone. 5. Mayonaka Farm Ice cream Open from 5:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. every day 3 Chome−3−8 Oshiage, Sumida City, Tokyo, 131-0045 to At Mayonaka Farm, not only can you get top-shelf ice-cream year round, but they make a point of serving it until late at night. Their ice-cream base is made of fresh cream, milk, and eggs for a smooth, rich texture. It's then topped with fruits, coconut, and even sprinkles if you want to let your inner child run free. The result is a beautiful, eye-catching dessert, and Mayonaka Farm makes sure you can show it off. There's no seating room, and often a line, but if you're lucky you can use the in-store mirrors, lighting, and props for a sweet snapshot to remember your day. Mayonaka Farm is a 4-minute walk away from JR Oshiage Station and Tokyo Skytree. With the popularity of both Mayonaka Farm and Skytree as a date spot, you might be waiting a while, so don't leave it too late! They're open until 12:00 a.m. every day, making them a go-to spot whenever you're in the mood for ice-cream together. 6. INITIAL Nakameguro Parfaits and ice cream Opens from 2 p.m. Mon-Fri, and 1 p.m. Sat-Sun. Closes at 11 p.m. every day. Natural Square Bldg., 1 Chome-16-6 Kamimeguro, Meguro City, Tokyo 153-0051 to Late-night date desserts are just as much about atmosphere as they are about taste. INITIAL Nakameguro checks both boxes. The cozy, chic interior contains casual table, counter, and booth seating, and is arrayed with flowers, plants, and tastefully modern decor. Just as eye-catching is their dessert artistry, with an array of parfaits and fruit bowls. Created with a mix of intricate designs, vivid colurs, and fruits galore, it's no wonder this cafe has a reputation as a lovebirds' nest. INITIAL Nakameguro is only a minute away from Nakameguro Station, on the Hibiya and Tokyu-Toyoku lines. Initial does have a second branch in Omotesando, however that one is only open until 9.
