Misato is a city in the far southeast corner of Saitama Prefecture directly to the north of Tokyo’s Katsushika ward. As such, it is a bedroom community for Tokyo with many residents commuting daily into Tokyo.
The Shinmisato area has a cluster of big box stores and malls including Costco, Lalaport, and IKEA which are popular with visitors from Tokyo on the weekend.
