A semi-permanent venue, Ariake Olympic Gymnastic Centre was the home of the gymnastics competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Located in the Olympic hub close to the Olympic Athletes Village and the broadcasting and press centers, the structure seats 12,000. Originally designed to be temporary, it will now remain for a further 10 years to increase the legacy of the games for the city and residents. Completed in 2019, the building features wood as a primary material as a move towards sustainability and Japanese traditional style.
