Hottarakashi Onsen is renowned for its breathtaking views from its mountaintop location, offering a spectacular sight of Mt. Fuji on clear days. However, it loses points for its accessibility, as it is challenging to reach without a car and requires over 2 hours of driving from Tokyo.
Despite the journey, the trip is well worth it. The expansive, tiered open-air baths provide a unique experience, offering stunning views even at night. The layout allows visitors to find secluded spots to relax away from the crowds.
