Minami Ikebukuro Park is a lovely green island of tranquility in a sea of Ikebukuro bustle.
Just a 5 minute walk from the east exit of JR Ikebukuro Station, the park features a large grassy square (sadly, too often closed to allow the grass to grow), wooden decking on the station side of the park and a kids play area in the southern corner.
The wooden decks make a great spot to enjoy an al fresco drink and some takeout sushi on a warm summer’s evening.
