Bookends is a tiny little hole in the wall coffee stand and cafe about 5 minutes walk from the South Exit of Shimokitazawa Station.
The cafe has a lovely sunny aspect with tables and chairs next to the kerb when the weather is nice.
The coffee is good value, although the milk could have been done better on the “East London Style(?)” Flat White (everyone knows Flat Whites are from New Zealand!). Prices are cheapo friendly with 200yen for an espresso and 280yen for a dine-in flat white.
They also sell beans and an assortment of cakes and snacks.
