We found this curious new Toraya cafe in the backstreets of Tokyo, serving a contemporary dessert based on an—a traditional Japanese sweet ingredient made from Azuki bean paste. The parent company Toraya is a Japanese confectioner founded in Kyoto with roots dating back 500 years.
