What happens?
Unlike the months of illuminations you’ll find elsewhere in Tokyo, the light up in Ueno only lasts a long weekend. See the museums lit up in rainbow colors, along with projection mapping, lanterns, light instillations, stalls, exhibitions, and promotional tents.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
