The Autumn Rose Festival at Kyu-Furukawa gardens takes place over two weeks in October. For 2021, they haven’t made an officially announcement, so it’s not “officially” happening. However, they are posting daily updates on the flowering of the roses.
The gardens are famous for an early 20th century Western-style garden (including an extensive rose collection), a Japanese garden and a large western style mansion.
Admittance to the garden is free for children up to middle school age and ¥150 for adults. Senior citizens can get in for ¥70.
Check the official website to see if a booking is required. At peak times and during any COVID-19 outbreaks, they may require you to book your visit in advance. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, many events have been canceled. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
