Comic Market, better known as Comiket, is one of Japan’s biggest annual pop culture events. It’s held twice per year, in summer and winter, at Tokyo Big Sight. The focus of the event is doujinshi — independently created and published manga. Given the thousands of amateur and professional manga artists in Japan, there will be an incredibly wide range of genres and styles for you to buy.
Tickets 2025
Historically a free event, Comiket has now limited admission to paid ticket holders.
Prices for 2025 have not been released but ticket prices for 2024 were ¥1,210 for entry in the morning and ¥1,000 (on-the-day price) to enter after 1:30 p.m.
Cosplaying at Comiket
For those planning to cosplay, you will also need a special cosplay ticket (¥3,000 in 2024), which grants you access to changing rooms and includes entry all day. You can also choose to pay ¥500 to use the changing rooms without the entry ticket included.
