A small festival taking place on the 25th of May each year, watch as local construction workers perform acrobatics on bamboo ladders. As the spiritual descendants of the firemen of Edo (aka hikeshi) they perform as a memorial to the 120 firefirghters (including those in the metropolitan police) who died in the Edo – Showa period. Head to the empty lot behind Sensoji for the performance at 11am (but arrive early for a good spot).
