Looking for a New Year’s Eve celebration that all the family can enjoy? Come and join the countdown event taking place at Asakusa Hanayashiki, the oldest amusement park in Japan.
What happens?
Attractions, including the merry-go-round, haunted house, and Sky Ship, will be open for visitors. The park itself will be covered with cherry blossom-coloured lights.
On the countdown stage, you can watch performances from Japanese comedians. The first 200 people to visit the restaurant Sawagi get to eat a free bowl of toshikoshi soba, otherwise known as New Year’s soba noodles.
Tickets
Tickets cost ¥3,500 for adults, ¥1,500 for children, and ¥1,500 for those with disabilities. They can be bought in advance online here.
Each ticket includes admission to the events, unlimited rides, and access to the entertainment countdown stage.
