Hashigo Nori at Ikegami Honmonji Temple is a festival to remember. Featuring acrobatics and athleticism, it’s a unique event to kick off the new year.
What to expect
Hashigo Nori takes place on Japan’s Coming of Age holiday (the second Monday of January) — Jan. 13 in 2025. But rather than the traditional dances and prayers, six performers show off their stuff with a ladder acrobatics display, including leaping and cartwheeling in the air.
Visitors will also be able to try the stunts (on a mini-ladder!) and take photos with the performers.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
