Dance, feast, and be merry at the Sunshine City Ikebukuro Bon Odori Festival. This is a classic summer tradition.
What happens?
The Sunshine City Ikebukuro Bon Odori Festival takes place over three evenings from 7 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. It brings together local residents and visitors to dance around a traditional 6-metre yagura to classic Bon Odori music at the Sunshine Plaza.
For fuelling up post and pre-dance, head to the food stalls at the Alpa shopping arcade. For kids, there will be retro festival games such as ring tossing and target shooting.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
