Summer in Tokyo might be beautiful, but everyone needs a way to beat the heat. That’s why Tokyo Midtown is hosting Midtown Summer, an oasis in the city.
What to expect
The main event at Midtown Summer is the Ashimizu, a gentle stream running through the Midtown garden. Sit on the benches nearby and soak your tired feet in the cool water. The gardens’ trees and sunshades provide relief from the heat. If you stop by at night, see the area lit with unique illuminations.
Besides Ashimizu, Midtown Summer has plenty to do, not least for children — workshops and games keep their little hands busy. And if you need some adult relief from the heat, there’s also the Midori Gin Soda Midpark Lounge. Settle under the shade with a cool gin and forget the blazing sun.
