Tokyo Tower is ready for the Tanabata season and that means lights, candles, and wishes.
What happens?
Several events are happening in and around Tokyo Tower during the event period. The tower also gets a special light show. Here are the highlights:
- Tanabata Infinity Diamond Veil (July 5–July 7, 2026): From 7 to 10 p.m. 268 LED lights will glow, reminiscent of the Milky Way.
- Make a Wish (June 27–July 7, 2026): Also on the Main Deck, you can write down your wishes and tie them up.
- Yukata discount compaign (June 27–July 31, 2026): Get discounts at Tokyo Tower and the surrounding shops if you wear a yukata, kimono, or jinbei.
- City Light Fantasia(May 11–September 6, 2026): Tokyo Tower’s seasonal projection mapping show, featuring a blend of summer skies, hydrangeas, and fireworks
- Milky Way Illumination (June 12–September 27, 2026): The Main Deck of Tokyo Tower gets a makeover with around 30,000 lights representing the Milky Way.
