YES THIS NIGHT – A Midwinter Double Bill

¥3,500 (advance sales)

The Yokohama Theatre Group is proud to announce YES THIS NIGHT, a midwinter double bill. Both shows have won awards internationally, and YTG is thrilled that we can bring them to Kanagawa prefecture for three short nights in February.

Award-winning playwright and performer Haley McGee is bringing her newest show “I’m Doing This For You” to Japan. Directed by award-winning director Mitchell Cushman, this show is a must-see for anyone who wants to see some of the best that the Canadian theater scene has to offer. Blending storytelling, live-art and improvisation, this performance is a big romantic gesture made by a woman for a man.

“Space Hippo” is an adventure-comedy science-fiction show with a hint of social satire. It uses over 200 intricately cut shadow puppets projected onto a large screen to create the feeling of watching a live animated movie. The puppeteers sit in front of the audience, underneath the screen so that the audience can see the puppeteers bring the puppets to life.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, many events have been canceled. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
