Kamata

Kamata is a district of Ota Ward in the south of Tokyo

Kamata Station is an interchange station served by the JR Keihin Tohoku Line, the Tokyu Tamagawa Line and the Tokyo Ikegami Line. Keikyu Kamata Station is another major station in the district which is an interchange station for the Keikyu Main Line – which connects Shinagawa with Kawasaki and Yokohama further to the south- and the Keikyu Airport Line which goes to Haneda Airport.

The East Exit of JR Kamata Station features a “Moai” Statue which means Shibuya Station is not unique in having pseudo Polynesian statuary.
