Ohi Racecourse Flea Market

9:00am – 2:30pm
Free

One of Tokyo’s biggest and most frequent flea markets, this event takes place over many — if not all — weekends a month. Also known as the Tokyo City Flea Market, it can feature up to 600 (!) vendors on a busy day, making it a great place to hunt for bargains.

What happens?

Most vendors sell used clothes simply laid out in piles on a tarp, but some have fossils, gemstones, Japanese antiques, household goods, or secondhand electronics on offer.

You can definitely bargain at this market, as prices suggested by the mainly private sellers are flexible. While the official opening hours are until 2:30 p.m., sellers often start wrapping things up around noon, so make sure to come early.

Note that the market may be canceled due to rain.

What else is there to do?

There are a handful of food trucks and vending machines. On weekends when this market isn’t happening, there are often other, smaller markets on the go.

Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
