Oku Asakusa Bon Odori Festival

2:00pm – 9:00pm
Free

A fairly new event, this odori matsuri (dance festival) is held to celebrate the area of Oku Asakusa.

It will take place in Sanyabori Square in Sumida Park, near Taito Riverside Sports Center.

What happens?

The main event will be a traditional Japanese dance called Bon Odori. Dancers and festival goers will dance in a circle around a special lantern-laden scaffold called a yagura. As well as the dance, there will be food stalls and drum performances.
