How many stages are at Sonicmania?

There are usually three or four stages at Sonicmania: Mountain, Sonic, NF, and Pacific — enough music to keep you going into the early hours.

What time does Sonicmania start and finish?

The timetable for 2025 has yet to be released, but we know that doors open at 7 p.m. and the sets start at 8:30 p.m. In the past, shows have gone on until 5 a.m. Either leave early for the last train, get the first train home, or hang around Chiba till doors open for Summer Sonic (provided you have a ticket).

Is Sonicmania for families?

No. You must be over 20 to enter Sonicmania.

Tickets for Sonicmania

You can choose between two tickets: regular for ¥16,000 or platinum for ¥24,000. The platinum ticket allows for a welcome drink, a special lounge and viewing area, and a few other perks.

How to get to Sonicmania

Sonicmania is held at Makuhari Messe, in the same area as Summer Sonic. The closest station is Kaihin-Makuhari and it takes around 40 minutes on the JR Keiyō Line from Tokyo Station. From there, it’s a 7-minute walk.
