The Waseda Regatta is a long-running tradition that is more than a century old. It sees Waseda University and Keio University face off in a rowing competition on the Sumida River.
What happens?
There will be several boating races throughout the day but the main race will see Waseda and Keio push off from Shin-Ōhashi Bridge and head up to the finishing line at Sakurabashi Bridge, near Sumida Park.
Schedule 2024
Races will start at 9:30 a.m. but the main race, Waseda vs. Keio, will start at 2:10 p.m.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
