The Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo holds postwar artworks from Japan and abroad
Famous works as part of the permanent collection include ‘Marilyn Monroe’ by Andy Warhol (1967), ‘Girl with Hair Ribbon’ by Roy Lichtenstein (1965), and sculptures/installations by acclaimed Japanese artist Tokujin Yoshioka.
The building was opened in 1995 and underwent major renovations between 2017 and 2019.
