This whole “cheapo” thing is getting a bit easier starting today. Thanks to Tokyo Citizen’s Day, there are some spots offering free admission on Oct 1st to places that would usually rob you of your precious yen.

You can stroll in wallet-empty to these three zoos—Ueno Zoo, Tama Zoological Park, and the Inokashira Zoo. Featherful quadrupeds not your thing? Not a problem, the Toyko Sea Life Park is also offering free admission for the day.

Wondering what you should do once Fri rolls around and the above-mentioned freebies are no longer a thing? Try the Hokkaido Fair at Yoyogi Park. It’s a 3-day food festival showing off Japan’s northernmost cuisine.
