Sunshine City is the name of a shopping mall at the base of Sunshine 60 — Ikebukuro’s tallest building.
Sunshine was, at one time, the tallest building in Tokyo. Although there are now a few buildings ahead of it, Sunshine is still a major attraction. The observatory has views towards Shinjuku and beyond that to Mount Fuji on a clear day.
The mall at the base has a variety of stores (including Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo) and more than 50 restaurants.
