Halloween for adults in Japan is less about trick-or-treating, and more about dancing till morning dressed in an award-winning costume.
That’s why we’ve highlighted some of the top Tokyo Halloween parties — from cute little venues to mega clubs. If you are looking for parades and other events, check out our full guide to Halloween in Tokyo.
Pro tip: Costumes are encouraged, and often get you discounted entry, but are not required. For an idea of what to expect, see Tokyo’s best Halloween costumes of years gone by.

October 19–20From ¥5,000

2. Tokyo Decadence

One of the biggest and most provocative Halloween nights in town, the Decadence party has enough unusual performers to make you forget about the music altogether.
Headline DJ acts have previously included world-record-breaking 88-year-old DJ Sumirock, and other talented performances. You never really know what to expect at a Tokyo Decadence Halloween night.
