Although Toranomon has a really cool name (it means Tiger’s Gate), that doesn’t extend to the area itself. You’ll mainly find nondescript office blocks and wide roads with little of actual interest.
The only remotely cool place in the area is the Hotel Okura – a luxury hotel built in the 1960s. Even if you can’t afford to stay here, check out the interior – you’ll feel like you’re James Bond (or a bond girl).
