Tokyo Cheapo Downtown Drinks – May 31

Kick off your summer with a solid 45-minute fireworks display over Zushi Beach. It’s just over 1.5 hr from central Tokyo, so consider making it a full beach day trip and heading back after the show.

Eco Life Fair – June 2-3
This weekend’s event at Yoyogi Park Events Square is the Eco Life Fair as part of World Environment Month festivities. Attendees are in for some organic fare, environmental workshops and idol band entertainment.

Geometry Geology: An Art Exhibition – May 31-June 3
An exhibition by Franco-American artist Natale Adgnot and that of American artist Julia Dittberner who share an interest in geology and the underlying geometric structures within nature. Their works include drawing, sculpture and collage.

Afrikico Djembefola Lessons – June 2-3
Try your hand at djembe drums this weekend in Yokohama. Sessions are 30 minutes and free for beginners.
Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2018 – June 4-24
A festival celebrating all things film, SSFF & Asia will be screening over 250 short films from around the world at various venues across the city.

Manpaku 2018 – May 17-June 4
A massive food festival in Tachikawa with special sections like beef, deep fried, seafood, sweets, salads, cheese and more to satiate any craving. Plus there’s a beer garden to help you wash it all down.

Katsushika Iris Festival – June 1-20
In northwest Tokyo, see 14,000 iris flowers at Mizumoto Park and 6,000 more at Hirikiri Shobuen Garden. There will be music performances and other entertainment to accompany your floral stroll—the perfect event for a sunny weekend.
